Dyl and I love cooking (and eating!) and are trying to follow a low carb diet. It’s pretty easy to follow but we do sometimes get stuck in a rut and make the same things over and over again especially if we don’t have the ingredients for something.
Enter Daily Dish. If you haven’t heard of it it’s a really rad concept where a box of fresh ingredients all nicely wrapped up is dropped off at your door on a Monday ready to be made into 4 scrumptious meals during the course of the week. They have 3 menu options: Classic, Low-carb and vegetarian.
I went for the low-carb option and loved each recipe! They were all so easy to follow, fun to make and there was so much variety. In our week we had lamb, chicken, fish and even a meatless night.
These lambs sliders (pictured) were just one of the meals on the menu. They were so cute and scrummy. There wasn’t one crumb left over! All the ingredients were SO fresh and the flavours they bring together are incredible (all the meals come with a lot of fresh herbs that you might not usually cook with).
I loved the convenience and the variety and would definitely recommend trying it. It was R620 for our low carb box for the week (about R78 per person per meal) which isn’t cheap but what you’re paying for is convenience (time saved, and a chef who has basically prepared 4 scrumptious recipes to try). You also get to keep the recipes (which are printed on a nice card) to try over and over again.
If you’d like to give it a try i’m giving away 3 boxes to 3 readers in the next week!
