I posted this picture of Skoon’s body oil on instagram the other day and everyone went a little crazy over it, so I decided to dedicate a whole post to telling you a bit more about Skoon.
What is SKOON?
“It is a completely natural skin care range, made in South Africa, that finds inspiration from a time when products were made by hand and from ingredients found in nature.”
Their honest, fuss free products are beautifully packaged and was definitely the first thing that caught my attention on instagram one day! I immediately stalked them and got my hands on one of their delicious body oils.
I also asked the founder, Stella Ciolli a few more questions about the brand:
What was the inspiration behind Skoon?
A compound of events actually, but two really stand out from the rest. I read two article‘s (follow link) that blew my mind. If 515 chemicals doesn’t shock a person into taking stock of their beauty routine then I don’t know what will. Inspiration enough for me to cross over to ‘natural’ and never look back.
What are the benefits of going natural? I’ve always used a regular skin product from Clicks. What’s the difference?
Aside from the obvious benefits, here are my thoughts. Skincare is (and will always remain) an extremely personal choice. There is no wrong or right ‘range’ – only a range that is right for you. You only have to ask yourself one question to test whether a range is working for you or not.“Does my skin look & feel healthy?” Notwithstanding age or skin type, neither brand or price of product.
I’m turning 27 this year and my main concern right now is getting old and wrinkly! For my age, and for a combination skin (oily/dry skin) what would you recommend?
I suggest you start by changing only one product – your cleanser. (I know it doesn’t sound very glamorous or high tech, but you might just be very surprised with the results). If your cleanser is too harsh, your skin will compensate by over producing oil.
What are Glow Drops? I love the sound of them!
I agree. A fabulous name for a fabulous product. A light (super skin friendly) concentrate that gives dry skin the most fabulous, soft sheen – I use mine every day. And 100% natural, naturally.
