I have recently fallen hard for Majeka House in Stellenbosch.
It’s a hotel, spa and restaurant that has been so beautifully designed you’ll want to steal the wallpaper and decor in every room!
During Stellenblog I got to visit Majeka House twice! Once for a spa day and once for dinner at their lovely restaurant Makaron.
Spa day!
This is the pool area of the hotel spa where you can relax and swim after a treatment (complete with a sauna).
I had a heavenly hot stone massage followed by a cocktail and lunch. Even in the beginning of May the sun was warm and lovely so I had a nap and a tan outside.
I would definitely recommend this as a treat if you’re looking for somewhere to go for a spa day with a friend. They have a full treatment list and the service there is first class.
A peek inside the rooms.
Our evening at Makaron!
We had a very special dinner as the Chef from Makaron and the Chef from The Twelve Apostles hotel had teamed up to create an incredible menu entitled “sustainable seafood”.
The food was “gastro-art”, beautifully presented and almost too beautiful to eat… but obviously we ate every bite! I’ve posted some pictures of some of favourite courses below.
A cute take on “fish and chips”. The pink foam was a salty vinegar foam.
Dessert below entitled ‘a seaside childhood memory’. A very sweet take on the upside ice cream we all dropped in the sand as kids.
